Editorial Reviews

Synopsis
From the imagination of Bill Bailey, experience Tinselworm--a visually stunning comedy and music extravaganza. Filmed at Wembley Arena at the end of a sell-out tour of the UK, it’s everything you expect from Bill, and more. Using huge screens, films and animation by award-winning film-maker Joe Magee, plus Bill’s trademark musical inventiveness and verbal brilliance, this is quite simply the most spectacular one-man comedy show ever staged in the UK.

Customer Reviews

What a disappointment1
I am a fairly new Bill Bailey fan. I first noticed him on buzzcocks and found him hilarious. I decided from Buzzcocks alone that he was a comedy genius...

This is the first live show I have seen, as I am in the process of ordering his older shows, and I have to say I was throughly disappointed with this.

Where were the jokes? The gags? Non-existent...I barely cracked a smile.

I heard that Bill likes to mix in music with his shows - Fair plays. This was too much though. It was all sing song and became very annoying after the first ten minutes. The music was milked to the last drop and it went sour fast.

If I am to be honest, and I hate to say this, I will have to state that the show was absolute rubbish. My finger was hovering over the stop button on my dvd remote throughout the whole of the second half of the show. I somehow felt that I might miss out on a gem If I switched off, so I stuck with it - There were no gems.

Maybe I was expecting too much from Bill, but I least thought there would be a few laughs. Infact, I watched Jimmy Carr's new DVD straight afterwards and laughed more in the first 5 minutes then I did through an hour and a half of this.

Maybe his stand up style is just not for me. I will be watching the older shows before confirming that.

I won't be telling people to steer clear from this, as everybody has different tastes, but I won't be recommending it to anybody either.

I am sure the Bill Bailey fans will watch this anyways and make up their own minds. This is my review and I thought it was rubbish. Sorry Bill - I'm still a fan though :)

How does your brain work Bill?5
I have never spent more than 5 minutes with Bill Bailey material and not laughed. He is a comic genius and Tinselworm delivers. I saw him in B'ham NIA and Geilgud, London and both shows were fantastic. Bill has a unique view on the world and expresses it in his own velvety language. It is a treat every time. BUY AND ENJOY THIS DVD. How could you not love the dueling Sitars?

The only criticism I have about the DVD is the production - the sound quality was a bit poor and the lack of decent extras was disappointing - suggests Bill will re-release a special edition - have you sold out??

fantastic show5
nearly everybody is OVER ANALYZING this fantastic show comparing it to this and that, your in for a real treat, bill bailey just as inventive and creative and weird then ever, its fantastic.
